Outlasting 40% Of Other SEO Companies, My Business Turned 3 This Week
(Had to post this here since it was sitting in my drafts the day)
According to statistics roughly 40% of businesses fail by year three, and it just so happens that as the clock hit twelve today it officially has been 3 years since I started my business. Hopefully, there are many more years to come. When I first started my SEO business in my college apartment I’ll be honest I always saw it as something I could do for a side hustle or resume builder until I got out of school and eventually worked for a large company but just a year ago I went full time after signing 8 new clients and was able to commit more time to grow this company. Ultimately I fell in love with it, and the grind it always gave me joy seeing something I personally created, grow more and more every day. It’s almost in some ways like a child at this point and I’m not sure if many others feel this way about their businesses seeing as tons of people sell them haha but it’s truly empowering to not only make it this far into the journey especially knowing the statistics but it’s almost exciting looking forward to the next day seeing what type of obstacles or things you’ll come up against in your journey.
Crazy to think that over 1000 days and a half glass of wine later we’re officially saying happy 3rd birthday to my company! Cheers to everyone who’s helped support me along the way!

Good for you, congratulations. Also being in the business for three years and three months (since the very first day of 2020).
My times were rough sometimes and had to even pause for three months, since no clients were on the horizon. We’ll see what the future holds for us.

For me it was a long time ago, and I’ve been going strong since. I remember the first 3 years vividly. Learned a lot. Lots of mistakes too.
