  • One month old website impressions down to 0 from 3000 per day

Posted by CardiologistOld4537 on June 2, 2023 at 6:51 am

I started generating content on my website from April onwards and wrote 100 posts in 30 days assisted by chatgpt. The number of impressions and clicks were consistently increasing and reached 3000 on 11th May but all of a sudden on 12th May : Website keyword impressions dropped to 0 , keywords lost thier rankings. I m still trying to figure out why this happened and working on improving the content quality on the website.
Want some ideas where should I start my audit to debug the issue?

Probably because the content was bad.

Check if there are any reported issues or manual penalties affecting your website. Look for any warnings or notifications that could shed light on the drop in impressions. Also, check the content’s quality.

Around first week of May, my AI-generated website (8-month-old) started losing rankings too but only for posts with specific on-page structure. Other posts which have completely different structure still rank and bring impressions and traffic. I believe there’s some kind of algorithmic penalty imposed on poorly structured AI articles.

your site is brand new, so it has no business ranking to begin with, and then you’ve used low quality content. there’s nothing to ‘debug’ here.

I think most probably caused by the low quality content. Make sure your content is valuable and relevant to your target audience. Otherwise you might have triggered the ranking penalty.

Look at the traffic analytics and see where that traffic was coming from

The content wasn’t optimized at all. Finish it with SurferSEO and GrammarlyPro and make sure it thoroughly answers the search intent for every keyword.

Your goal should never be to write 1000 pages in 30 days. Your goal should always be to write the very best page for the searcher for the keyword you’re writing on.
