    Hello SEO gurus / pros,
I need help understanding why a website (vacation rental) does not rank higher for certain local keywords ( area name rental with pool, private lodge in area name, etc).

I have researched competitors and this website is better in most aspects. Chrome light house shows a 100% SEO score.

The only thing I am missing out is on large amount of content on the website.

I am using Semrush and have tried to follow their recommendations. Its been an year and my ranks are still between (8 – 20)

Sorry, I can’t share the the website address due to NDA.

Local citations, local backlinks, keyword content and optimization.

    What’s the status on those?

You mention your website is better, and a good Lighthouse score – How does your content compare to that top ranking for your target keyterms. Localising content could be an easy place to start.
