Need more followers because of job
Hey so in the new job I’ve applied they’re interest on our following in social (it’s a pr position). I’m not a huge fan of social media, I only have Instagram and have very few followers, less than 1k because I never really cared about it and I don’t post very often either. How can I gain more followers, like is there any place where I can buy a few good quality followers (accounts that aren’t so obviously bots)? I want this to just boost the number a bit, while I’ll be trying to grow my following organically.

As long as you understand sm and can run business accounts, who cares how many followers you have.
Also, don’t buy fake followers.

Are they measuring your merit simply based on number of followers? If so, just do engagement pods to give yourself the vanity boost.
If they are measuring merit on ability to drive results than f-followers… i always tell clients that followers doesnt equal a lead… if you’re interested in growing revenue, deals are done in the DMs.

Followers doesn’t mean much. I had just short of 2K on my personal, but built multiple accounts for small shops that hit 50K. Growing your own social media gets a lot less alluring when you start managing others’ FT.
I’d just talk to strategy and rationale whenever possible. Point to your wins!

I know SMMs who manage internationally known brands with intimate followings.
PR agencies who care about your followers only do so because they expect you to spam your feed with client content and then scam their clients into thinking it’s an effective social media strategy.

If you are buying them, they are bots only. Don’t get fooled and scammed by others. And as soon as Instagram detects it, it will decrease your reach + constantly work on removing the followers
