  • Need help growing my foodie Instagram account.

Posted by Life_Scheme1807 on May 10, 2023 at 1:06 pm

I’ve been running a food Instagram account for about a year, sharing my favorite recipes, restaurant finds, and food photography. Despite posting regularly, my follower count has plateaued around 2k. Other food accounts are growing much faster than mine.

Should I buy followers to boost my numbers and attract more attention?

I suggest engaging with other food-related accounts and their followers to increase your visibility. Comment on their posts, like and respond to their followers’ comments, and follow them. Avoid spam and focus on genuine, thoughtful comments about their content.

Buying fake followers or likes can harm your account’s reach and potentially lead to a ban.

Instead, consider investing in ads or growth services. AscendViral is a well-reviewed growth service that can help you grow organically.

Use hashtags strategically to gain more visibility, opting for low competition hashtags to keep your posts from being buried. Add location tags for restaurants or cities you feature.

Remember, perseverance is crucial. Good luck!

Hi there! Social media manager here. I do not recommend buying followers. The Instagram algorithm is pretty advanced now and will know if your followers are real or bought and they will ding you for it (like showing your content to less people).

I used to work with a food influencer myself and the best advice I can give is stay consistent and make sure you’re posting quality content that resonates with your audience and provides them with useful information.

There is a lot that goes into growing a social media account and it can take time but those who stick around and keep pushing through will reap those rewards 🙂

My client grew her Instagram following from 8K to 10.8K and her TikTok following to from 0 to 10K in our 6 months of working together.

Here’s what I recommend and did with her:

    1) Open up a TikTok – One of her videos went viral getting 4 million views and that helped her gain a large amount of new followers to IG and also grow quickly on TikTok.

    2) Try to collaborate with other creators in your niche – Collaborations are a great way to expose your page to a new audience and do something different and fun for your current followers.

    3) Make sure you’re staying up to date with current trends – When ever there was a new trending recipe or idea I thought would be a good fit for my client I sent it her way and she would recreate the dish.

    4) Make sure your post(s) provide meaningful information to your audience – If you’re sharing a recipe, are you including the step-by-step process of how to make that recipe? Are you telling them to save the post for the next time their looking for an easy meal for a night in? Having call to actions can motivate people to engage with your post in turn allowing it to reach more people. The more people that engage with it, the more Instagram will get your content out to more people (aka potential new followers)!

I also always encourage my clients to see what other successful creators are doing in her niche and see how they could take those ideas and turn it into their own style. Hope that helps and good luck!!!! 🙂

Do not buy followers, trust me! You will get nothing from it. You can only have problems, low engagement and lower reach after some time. In the end, Insta will delete all these fake followers.

I recommend you to look for popular Instagram accounts in your niche. Try to copy their popular posts.

And just to make it clear.

You shouldnt replicate everything they do, but rather focus on analyzing what makes their content successful and try to replicate those elements.

For example, people in art school copy styles from popular artists. And after some time they developer their unique style because they get inspired, get new ideas and learn along the way.
