    Background Story:

I currently work for a Real Estate company the past 6 months. The nature of my job keeps changing. I was doing Listings, graphics, written content, event planning, driving around doing errands, and had a hard time prioritizing. The company had me do so many things the first 3 months of work, then I had 1 solid month of just chilling, then 1 month I was gone for vacation, then November came and they were “unhappy with my performance”, reduced my hours from 40 to 15 – and kept changing my job description duties to make me work less, and gave my duties to this new kid who’s cheap labor.

My boss is now asking me to figure out a way to track my daily tasks and how long it takes… which I think is dumb to ask the actual person doing the work. They should layout the rules, the tasks, and what is expected of me, and figure out if I can take on more work (which I could).

Anyway, I read that you can track your social media progress, did research on it, and learned about KPIs, on top of creating/designing ads and doing copywriting for Google and Facebook, and compiled a whole sheet of data showing that I’ve improved the platforms. She said it was a waste of time, even though it proves that I’m doing my job…

So my question is how do you track your daily tasks? Some things come up and I handle those, and I only work 15 hours a week – 5 hours for 3 days.

    TIA!

TLDR; Boss doesn’t understand how Social Media works, doesn’t care about KPIs (thinks it’s a waste of time), and wants to know what I do daily basis and how long it takes — how do you track your tasks?

I really like the Clockify app – it is free, you track your time by task/project, and can print out custom reports (e.g. at the end of each month). It is easy to use, and has many more features than I need, so I suspect it will fit the bill for you.
