  • Nav Elements as H2?

Our developers structure our sites’ navigation as sections with Headers. For example, we have multiple H2s on every page:

    <h2> “Company Name” </h2>

    <h2> “Main Navigation”</h2>.

This is for accessibility and screen readers.

Are there alternatives rather than using headings for navigational elements? Does this hurt SEO?

Nope. Ask them to create separate class for nav elements for styling font size. Headings determine topic relevancy for each page. Don’t confuse Google.

No it will not hurt SEO because the bad impact to your page is H1 Tag if you use more than 1 h1 tag, then only it will affect Your seo and as per some articles i knew that we can use as as many as headings but only use H1 so don’t get worry about it it will not get affect your page seo.

If you have any issues then i will help you out to share my knowledge thankyou
