Microsoft Ads Click Fraud: Class-Action Lawsuit-worthy?

Posted by goodvibes2018 on May 1, 2023 at 1:40 pm

After learning that most of my Microsoft Ads budget has been invalid clicks, I went seeking for answers in this subreddit. What I found is that many other people have experienced the same things.

Wouldn’t this be worthy of a class action lawsuit since Microsoft Ads has been screwing so many of us? On top of that, they forced everyone into Audience Ads this year and ate up our budgets even more.

If you feel like you’ve been effected in one way or another via Microsoft Ads click fraud, please reply to this thread. Maybe it’ll inspire someone who has an attorney friend to take some action.

Depends on jurisdiction, where all the advertisers are located. Laws follow our legal borders, the internet doesn’t. It’s why people haven’t been able to pin this down before

Did you read and agree to the Terms of Service when you signed up?

They are easy going with refunds (or they used to be). Ask for a refund.

I don’t see this getting anywhere. My agency had $75k worth of click fraud in Google last year, and by the time we discovered it (it was spread cross almost 50 accounts), we were only able to get refunded for about $25k because that was all that was within Google’s look back window. They basically said too bad.

How do you find out how many clicks as invalid? Sorry if I’m being thick here.
