I manage Facebook and IG accounts for a film company and also separate accounts for our biggest TV show. We’re a small indie company, so this social media role has fallen to me even though I’m an editor by trade.

All of our accounts were originally set up by interns before I came onboard, so I’ve been trying to get them set up so that the company itself keeps control if I should ever leave (or, more likely, if I hire a new social media manager).

The issue I’m running into is with Meta Accounts Center. I can’t get the FB and IG accounts connected to each other without using my personal page. What’s worse is that I have 2 sets of accounts (company and show), so I need to add another employee to that accounts center. I do have a few team members set up as admins to help manage things, but is there a way to set up the accounts centers so that we don’t need to have them tied to one employee’s personal page?

How do big companies (like Target or something) navigate this? Do they set up dummy Facebook profiles? How do you navigate that if you want to run ads (which require accurate personal info)?

If anyone has any advice, suggestions, resources (or if you just want to call me a dumbass), I’d greatly appreciate it. The actual page growth/engagement has been going swimmingly – I just want to make sure I have the proper setup. Thank you!
