  • Looking into SEO for my small business

Posted by JKPRW0221 on August 7, 2023 at 11:00 pm

My business is in rescreening pool enclosures in Tampa Florida. We have implemented some SEO on our website and paying for Google ads but we’re only bringing in about 450 people per month to our website.

I’m wondering how many people SEO would bring to our site and how much it typically costs per month.

Please pm if you’re able to help.

    My company site is naturecoastrescreens.com

I suggest you focus mostly on local seo, google my business and good reviews.Don’t waste money on off-site SEO (backlinks and content) since from what I could understand your business is locally.

It wouldn’t benefit you at all to rank for keywords globally

Edit: Also if anyone offers a SEO service pricing, make sure they keep it public here before you get scammed into high monthly fees (just saying)

I’ll talk myself out of a client here, but honestly, go find my YouTube video about Google Business Profile that’s 1hour 39 minutes long. Watch it, do it. If that doesn’t help you within 6 weeks, reach out.

Send a nice message to every former customer and ask them to leave a review… Helps tremendously with SEO and it’s free. Be sure to respond to all of them too

I’ve ran an SEO agency for 13 years. According to a tool called SEMrush, your site ranks for 2 keywords. So you’ve got nowhere to go but up.

I took a look at your site. I see it’s built on Godaddy’s DIY tool. That’s fine for getting a site up quickly but those sites generally aren’t great for SEO. You’d be far better off using WordPress to build your site.

In order to rank organically for the keyword phrases relevant to your business, you’re going to need to build a site that solves the problems to which visitors are seeking solutions to. This is achieved in the form of helpful content.

Demographics vary, but in general with most ‘skilled trades’ types of businesses, the consumer is generally motivated by a handful of common things. They want to be confident that it’ll be done correctly, that you have experience and that the price will be fair. They also generally will want it done in a timely manner.

As to the size of the opportunity, a quick check on SEMrush shows that the most common keyword is ‘pool cage rescreening’. That gets searched 260 times per month NATIONWIDE. The phrase ‘pool cage repair’ gets searched 880 times and the phrase ‘pool cage screen repair’ gets searched 1k times per month. So overall, there may be some opportunity out there.

So part of SEO is figuring out how people search the web for the services you offer, and then creating and publishing content on your site to meet the intent of those search queries.

So my advice is to start with a new site on a modern platform that is SEO friendly. Then create content that meets the needs of your potential customers. If you’re interested in having a conversation about this, send me a PM and I’ll be happy to chat.

You need to get an SSL installed. I’m not going to say a physical address will help you outrank other sites, but may be a factor. The rest is likely related to links and content, see what you can cherry-pick from competitors. I have 18 yrs of SEO exp and am in Florida for another month, if you want to chat shoot me a DM

focus on optimizing for relevant local keywords and building citations and reviews to improve local SEO. Monthly costs vary but a good SEO strategy can drive significant organic traffic over time
