Hi everyone, I am doing SEO and web design since 2018. I have worked on 100s of SEO and web design projects with multiple agencies based in US and UK. Currently, I am level 2 seller on Fiverr as well, however, my main clients were from US and UK based agencies.

Coming towards main point, I have been trying for past few weeks to get some new clients. Tried cold emails as well as approached some reputable agencies directly as well, but all in vain.

Based on your expertise, can you please recommend where can I hunt some new clients or if I am doing something wrong? Any tips or suggestions would be highly appreciated.

What is your website ranking and what traffic you are getting? is your website getting new users, and what data they are consuming? run paid ads as well because now google has started showing the top screen only for ads. organic traffic is killed. It is bitter truth you have to accept.

Get some sites up in the rankings. Use those success stories to get new clients. I have a web site and Google maps to get up in the rankings.

Do you have your own site where you showcase your success?

The market isn’t that terrible, I’ve been pinged by three different possible clients this week and if all goes well will net me good money.

As others have said, setting up a website of your own is important, as far as appearing professional and trustworthy.

As far as trying to rank that website, or build out a large portfolio or case studies. I personally don’t find that necessary to be successful.

Early in my career, going back to previous clients usually led to good leads. ‘hey remember me, we worked together on X, I wanted to follow up with you on how that performed / I had a good experience working with you / I’ve been growing my business and now offer X / I am building out a new website and was wondering if I could feature you on it / would you be willing to provide me with a testimonial / are you working on any new projects? / I was looking at your website and noticed this was broken / have you considered the benefits of pursuing X SEO effort?’

If you’ve worked on 100’s of projects you’ve probably found some specific task or effort that you either enjoy doing, or that gets frequently asked of you, or that you find is specifically helpful to your clients… think about how you can package that as a specific service.

Likewise, if there’s an industry that you have specialized experience with, or 3rd party platform/technology that you’re familiar with, think about how to market yourself toward that audience.

As others have said the market is bad, and companies are laying off many people.
