Looking for advice to optimise titles and alt tags of 20k images.
Hi there,
I have an online directory for tattoo shops in the Netherlands. At the moment, there are 1000 shops on my website with 20 images each (so 20.000 images in total). The titles are just random numbers, and most images do not contain an alt tag.
So SEO-wise, there’s a lot of potential here.
I am not going to update 20k images by hand, so I want to use a plugin to bulk edit these. What would be best to include in each image?
I can bulk add the following data:
– City
– Name of the tattoo shop
– Name of my website

How would you approach this?

Custom code. Shouldn’t be too difficult to change that.

Think the question is what’s the aim of the site and how does it drive traffic?
If it’s mostly by people searching Business Name / Location then Yes, it’s it Tattoo Shop x location then do it that way.
Or if possible vary it up between each location and have 4/5 combinations.

Best would be:
description of tattoo + “tattoo” + “on” + body part + “by” + name of tattoo shop + “,” + city
Examples:
* Lion head tattoo on arm by Walls and Skin tattoo shop, Amsterdam
* Abstract lines tattoo on lower back by Walls and Skin tattoo shop, Amsterdam
* Red rose tattoo on thigh by Ink drinkERs tattoo shop, AmsterdamI believe this would give you best SEO results.
Edit: Actually I think It’s worth to make it manually, at least for the most famous tattoo shops.

Hire a Virutal Assistant. That would be easy. 20k Images is a lot and if dont correctly the traffic will explode.
