  • Looking for a SEO service freelancer/provider for my small business in China

    My business is in China, but we target international clients. We essentially offer services for out-of-country production companies to create video content in China. This could include documentaries, news, TV commercials, and more. However, movie and TV show production are not included.

    Previously, we hired someone from India to handle the SEO tasks. The cost was only 150 USD per month, and I think they only did one blog post and perhaps 20 backlinks every month. I believe we have around 5-10 keywords on the first page of Google since we operate in a very small niche market with only 5-8 competitors. (not really sure if I was scammed or not, feels that they are not doing anything really. What would be a good way to check if someone is dependable and what would be the cost for a niche market seo service?)

    Due to the impact of COVID-19 and the impossibility of global travel, our business suffered, and we stopped the SEO activities. We also created a new website, which probably harmed our ranking a bit by losing old links.

    Our website is alchemist-films.com, and our keywords include “China video fixer” and “China video production,” among others. It would be great if I could find some good people here to help me boost rankings. Please contact me or leave your info in the comments. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Because we operate throughout China and provide services all over the country, a Google Business profile and reviews might not work effectively for us.

    At 150 a month, I’m not sure what more you were expecting. Your average SEO specialist will charge you an average of 1000 a month with low-end being around 600 to your high-end being 2000+. It’s a lot of work, and building a strong foundation takes time. If your prior SEO person managed 1st place placement on relative keywords, again for the price, I think you did well.

    Before going to international clients, I would like to ask you some questions;

    1. How many local clients (clients within China) do you have?
    2. Is your business established well in China itself?
    3. How many testinomals and reviews you have?

    If you’re struggling to get local clients, I would advice you don’t go International then. First make yourself strong in a local/national market then go outside.

    And for SEO, only a website wouldn’t do nothing more for your business. You need to have a good social media presence for this type of business.
