Hey folks, planning to start creating content on social media. Confused about using LinkedIn and Twitter.

What have you folks been using?
Where have you found more success?
What platform offers you a good balance of posts and results?

    Adding more context:

I will preferably be creating content around the intersection of ecommerce, growth marketing and technology. The audience will be ecommerce marketers, agencies and Shopify store owners

Why not use both? LinkedIn for more professional contents and Twitter with much more freedom to express your contents and have trials of content types.

I would suggest starting with LinkedIn as it is a place where professionals hang out for hiring, spreading content and all. After sometime take the same content to Twitter as well.

Although I haven’t tried Twitter, LinkedIn is surely good.

Your content is tailor made for Linkedin. Stay off Twitter — it’s done.

Hey mate. Good question. I have had great success in the b2b niche on Linkedin. Havent tried Twitter before. But the good thing with Linkedin is that you can grow your network with very detailed and specific requirements such as position, country, niche etc. Wish you the best of luck and let me know if you try Twitter and how it goes. 🙂 Cheers

In fact, I would not be so categorical on this issue, since a preliminary analysis of the activity of your potential target audience is necessary, as well as the niche as a whole on each of the platforms.

Of course, I agree with the previous commentators, and also recommend LinkedIn at first glance. However, I would test both platforms in this way and then draw conclusions, since with the proper strategy you can achieve success both there and there, given that the audience of the platform still differs significantly.
