I’m failing to understand why Facebook has demonitized my gaming page for limited originality. I’ve noticed several other pages on various forums who’ve recorded and edited their own content.

My page is a video Gaming Page with in-stream ads. Recording my own clips, utilising Facebooks own music with no copyright or royalties attached. I clip and cut my own recorded content, add text with animation, filters and sound effects for engagement.

I have also called Facebook support who couldn’t resolve the issue both times.

Remained mindful to these type of posts — :

    Limited originality
Content violates our limited originality policy if your Page or profile had no role in creating it and does not meaningfully alter its source.

Pages or profiles that do not meaningfully enhance and add value to the content that they post will be unable to monetise and will receive less distribution on Facebook.

There are three major behaviours that can lead to limited originality flags for your Page or profile:

Limited editorialisation: A Page or profile posts videos that the Page or profile did not film or produce, with minor, but not meaningful enhancements (voiceover, commentary, graphics or creative editing that do not add value). Examples of minor enhancements include:

    Meme bars

    Logos

    Background music

    Changing video speed

Adding subtitle transcripts in the same language as the audio language

Describing what happens in a video with no additional information

Aggregating: A Page or profile compiles and posts videos from multiple Pages, profiles or third-party content creators. Examples include:

Curating content from multiple sources without meaningful enhancements

Compiling videos together without meaningful enhancements

Duplicative content: A Page or profile posts content that already exists on Facebook that the Page or profile had no meaningful role in creating.

Even remaining consistent to Facebooks own guide to fixing a page — :

If your Page or profile has been flagged for posting content with limited originality, we recommend that you consider the following solutions:

Post content that your Page or profile created:

The best thing that you can do for your Page or profile is to regularly post content that you produced yourself or with dedicated partners.

    Make meaningful enhancements:

You can use content that you are approved to use from other sources as long as you increase its value through creative editing, voiceover or commentary. These enhancements must be meaningful – simply stitching together clips or adding a watermark does not qualify as meaningful enhancement.

Review and evaluate your content: Check to make sure that you are not posting content that your Page or profile had little or no role in creating.

File an appeal: If you believe that your Page or profile has been flagged incorrectly, you can file an appeal with our team.

If the Page or profile was flagged incorrectly, but you would like to comply with our guidelines, we recommend posting a significant number of videos that are original or meaningfully enhanced before requesting an appeal.

If anyone has had similar issues with their pages and found a way or timeline of regaining monetisation it would be great.
