    Limited by Budget

Posted by seohelper on May 6, 2021 at 11:25 pm

Hi guys, I am stuck in this weird position where suddenly all my google ad campaigns (search, display and call) have “Limited by Budget” coming up.

These campaigns were working just fine a week back. My campaigns have about 6-7 keywords each with a bidding of $2-3 per keyword. The budget of each campaign is about $50.

It would be great if someone can guide me on how I can possibly fix this. Thanks!

I get this, it’s a “warning” that’s more advertising than a recommendation. There’s nothing wrong with your campaigns, Google is just enticing you to spend more to reach more people, lol. It’s up to you whether you want to spend more or leave the budget as is.

What are you seeing for estimated first page, top of page, and first position bids? Could be that the keywords you’re bidding on have gone up so you just don’t have the budget to play.

It sounds like your keywords you’re bidding on have just gotten more expensive. Try testing first position for all your keywords for a bit.

    1) take a look at your search impression share. If it’s below 70% change the match type to a more specific match type.

    2) go through your search terms and add anything irrelevant as negative keywords

    3) pause any poor performing ad groups, which allows the budget to be spent on the higher performing adgroups

The limited budget warning is not making sense to me anymore. It seems like a recommendation now since I see this message often when campaigns are not reaching average daily budget and have no lost IS by budget.

This has been the case for a few months as far as I can tell.

Anybody able to confirm whether Google changed this?
