Launched Search Ad one day ago. But no conversion/no lead. Need advise.

    Hi All,

Launched a search campaign awhile ago with this characteristics:

    One Text Ad
    One Responsive Ad
One Landing Page( the form requires 4 criteria to be filled up before submission- no pricing is indicated- just a explanation of the product-thermal camera)
    No negative keywords
21 clicks with 7.47% ctr with no conversion/no lead.
The product is available at cheaper cost(b2c) and expensive version(b2b- which im running campaign for)
15 general keywords. One day stats shows people are looking for pricing in three search terms that i can see.
    Call Extension received 6 clicks

Is it too early to expect any lead? Should i add a call button and whatsapp button in the landing page?

What can be improved to see more lead?

First, you need to confirm your conversion is set up correctly. Download google tag assistant extension and verify. If still not sure- call or chat with google.

Then if it’s in place, stay the course for 7 days or so to get data. You probably just need more to see what is what.

Then I’d work on testing more search variations of your ads. Be clear about what you’re selling or offering. Keep testing.

You need more data before optimizing. Start checking after 100 + clicks. Conversion rate of 1% is not uncommon.

How much keyword volume do you have?

I’d recommend setting up eCPC if your budget is low. Make sure you have a lot of keywords with sufficient volume.

1 eta and 1 rsa is too little. Have 3-6 etas and 1-2 RSAs. Make sure to reach excellent ad strength in your rsa.

    Use all extensions possible.

Have sufficient daily budget (think in terms of how much you’re willing to pay for a lead).

Try to reach 1000 clicks asap to start evaluating on some real data. Look at where your LP is dropping traffic.

    Then optimize gradually.

Eventually, move to tCPA and broaden match types and increase daily budget, it’ll take a while but it works.

For B2B especially, I’d say it’s far too early to worry.

Hard to say how soon you should expect a conversion without knowing the industry, landing page and level of brand awareness – but if you’re a small B2B, and your conversion action is something like an enquiry or sale (as opposed to an easy free trial, or report download – something slightly higher up the user journey), I wouldn’t expect to see a large volume of leads anytime soon.
