ive created my website for my business and done a small amount of on page SEO and link building. What are services should I be searching for to help increase my traffic. backlinks? guest posts? Thank you.

So far you’ve wasted a little time building backlinks, as backlinking is not a Local SEO strategy.
It sounds like you’ve been reading organic SEO strategies, and not anything about Local SEO, which for a bricks and mortar business, is essential, and the first step towards getting your business phone to ring.
For Local SEO, page one of Google Maps can be achieved in less than 30 days from publishing the website, if the on-site, technical, and off-site strategies are done correctly.
Firstly, make sure you have the site set up using Local SEO on-site strategies, not organic strategies. You must have the site completely optimized, including on-site, and technical. If you’re unsure, run an audit, and get a professional to SEO your site. This can save you a TON of time in trying to learn yourself.
Then, implement Local SEO off-site strategies…
You need a fully 100% optimized Google Business Profile, Directory listings management, online reputation, social media business profiles / reviews / engagement (yes, this matters), etc.
You can still use blogging to increase your keywords, content, organic rankings, etc, but using local organic marketing strategies, as a primary target.
Also, if you wish to target any other cities locally, outside of the city your business is located, build city pages. 1,000 words of keyword content on each City Page, written to target organic results in those cities.
With a local, brick and mortar business like this, getting the Local SEO right is essential, and best to build this first. Do this as well as the organic SEO, but primary goal.
Organic SEO strategies take a lot longer to kick in, and shows really huge benefits from year 2 of your domain having a site published on it. Not only that, if you ever decided to do paid media ads such as Google Search Ads, getting higher positions in the ad results will cost less if your SEO is really great.
So, don’t think ranking on organic is going to take forever unless you use Google Search Ads. This is only true for organic SEO, which takes a minimum of 6 months to get off the ground, using a professional SEO team, and sometimes longer in a competitive market.
Implement a strong Local SEO strategy, and dominate your local market. Get to page one in 30 days or so, and you can THEN build your business using cash generated.
