  • Is there are some kind of Action Plan for SEO Beginners?

Hi! I’m a fellow developer with very limited SEO experience. Mainly I am trying to help my friend to launch his business. The service he is offering is quite a niche (Towing services and towing trucks).

I started by Googling the main keyword. Mozbar shows that no website has over 30 in both PA and DA. Me being a newbie in SEO, that does not mean a lot – are those numbers easy entry to beat them?

Note that I am taking this project as a case study and I will be handling everything here – content writing, developing, designing, and link building. I want to learn proper SEO and check where I will be able to bring my project.

So the question is – is there some kind of an action plan for the newbies/new websites I could check out? I am mainly following what BRian from Backlincko is preaching. But some of his advice isn’t just applicable to this particular niche. Thank you

I was just looking into the towing niche, so here’s some insight.

Yeah, <30 DA ain’t much, and that’s pretty normal in the niche. Towing companies aren’t very tech-savvy, I’d guess, so their SEO game isn’t that good.

    Here’s what you should do:

    * Optimize your homepage for “towing [location]”
    * Create a GMB page. Embed it on your homepage, ask your customers for reviews.
    * Create a dedicated page for any other service you offer. E.g. tire change or whatever. Create a drop-down “Services” in your nav bar and link these service pages there.
    * Don’t think you have to worry too much about content writing / blog in your niche. Usually, content in local SEO is used to generate backlinks, which isn’t something you’ll need.
    * Link-building isn’t big in towing. If you run your competitors backlinks through Ahrefs and filter for: DA 15+, Link Type: In-Content, Do-Follow Links, you’ll see that most of your competitors don’t have many links.
    * Links are also hard to get in such a niche as not a lot of people blog about towing, so instead, I recommend you focus on citation building (BrightLocal).
    * If you want faster results, you can try getting some local links by getting interviewed on local online media but that’s optional.

    GL!
