Is there a benefit in adding search terms that I show up for to keywords that I target?

Posted by seohelper on September 30, 2021 at 11:02 am

    Hey,

I’m trying to learn Google Ads, and I’m wondering if there is any benefit in adding search terms that I my ads already show up for to keywords that I actually target?

Let’s say I have a phrase match that is “gaming” and I see that a lot of tracking is coming from \[gaming mice\]

Is there any benefit for me to add \[gaming mice\] to my ad-group or is it perfectly fine to let my “gaming” keyword target that keyword as well?

    Thanks:)

Yes, this will allow you to bid more precisely on those terms by adding them as keywords. Just ensure you don’t simply add everything… consider adding any that are getting regular impressions/clicks and conversions.

It’s worth it if you want to have strict creative control for it.

Otherwise, there’s no benefit, google ads set bids at a query level, not at a keyword level.

of course! if you have content related to gaming mice, then you should have dedicated keyword, ad and landing page
