It’s really poor lately, the stories issues not being fixed immediately borders on arrogance. It’s now at the point where I just cannot post to stories as the whole app crashes.

Facebook/Instagram for all their millions of dollars have absolutely no human customer service, yet expect people to pay advertising dollars for a service that’s not in any way competent? They spend so much time with their algorithms, getting people addicted to the app and leaking data, yet they don’t have the polish to make a functional app. Literally with every update the app gets worse.

I have read in a few places there is mutterings of collusion with Apple. Whilst there has been non-existent updates and even closer to a downgrading of functions on Android apps … The iphone app gets better and better. It doesn’t share any of the bugs, and gets the new features months before Android.

The collusion issue is marketers and anyone that needs Instagram for work or just likes the app have to buy an apple to get the latest app.

It’s really poor and unethical, but I wouldn’t put something like this past Zucc the cuck.

I haven’t really looked into this case specifically, but off the top of my head, if they are doing native development for each platform, then it is entirely plausible that one platform is ahead of the other in terms of features and functionality.

Unless one is developing using a cross-platform framework, it is not the easiest goal to keep both iOS and Android teams on par with each other while maintaining the same development pace.

Aside from differences in team sizes, each platform also has it’s own set limitations, and so asking for both platforms to be releasing features on par with each other would necessitate slowing the development progress for the faster releasing team.

It definitely feels like it to me. It just grows clunkier and more convoluted with every update.

Looking at how Facebook has been fighting Apple for months now on the new feature to prohibit tracking cross-apps, you won’t find any collusion there – if anything the opposite.

Business Suite is such a shitty unusable app. You can’t manage a page without desktop PC.

People don’t like change. Notice how everyone complains the Facebook feed is going to hell every time it sees an update, yet the next update they don’t want to let go of the current version that they’ve come to love?

Facebook does a TON of testing on even the very smallest changes (like changing the color of a button). If they’re making a change, they’re doing it because they found it makes it easier for people to get something done (within Business Suite, on the Feed it’s about getting them to spend more time there or click ads more).

I can’t say I’ve experienced any issues with stories or Business Suite and I use them extensively. Dunno.

The business suite app on my iPhone is essentially worthless. For example, if I switch between pages to check a message I got, it leaves me on the previous page’s messages. It’s literally impossible to use without using the desktop client.

Really, the recent updates of Facebook and Instagram on Android made them useless. I try to avoid using them on my phone and mostly use them with my laptop.

I just opened the android app today and I can no longer find the settings area where I’m able to log out. The menu item just doesn’t exist? It was there the other day. I uninstalled it because I just use it occasionally to check my page messages if I’m not near a computer. Don’t need logged in constantly.
