Internal pages cannibalising homepage keywords
Has anyone noticed increasing examples of not particularly detailed internal pages cannibalising what used to be homepage keywords? Seodity shows this happening more than I would have expected for a website. Not just for long tail keywords either but the main keyword for the whole site where a year ago the homepage would rank fine but now an internal page beats it for many keywords but the internal page is quite brief, not much content at all really compared to the homepage. No special linking effort was made for the internal page either, it wasn’t even one I was making any effort to improve.

You need to check GSC and SERP then audit all page, homepage and remove duplicated post or page rank same keyword , usually each website should only max 2 URL target same keyword
