I post stories a lot, but I haven’t used reels yet, I want to know what I’m doing! Any tips on starting reels?

Stories is the Snapchat clone and reels is the TikTok clone.

facebook is the walmart of social media. it basically copies everything that everyone else is doing hoping to be relevant. i just want to make sure it doesn’t screw over the elections like it did last time.

Reels right now are given a performance boost in the algorithm. Definitely maximize the use of them.

Stories should be used to engage with your audience, tell interesting stories between 60-120 seconds, cover live events, can be used to drive traffic (swipe up), cover behind the scenes or used for UGC.

Stories don’t need to be super polished and can be rough as they disappear in 24 hours

Reels are purely entertaining reach machines. 15 seconds (or if you are in one of the lucky 50 countries, 30 seconds starting today). Your main goal with reels is trying to become viral and get on the discover page.

One thing no one’s mentioned that’s surprising is that Stories appear on the top of the main feed of anyone who follows you, showing them you have new content and encouraging them to view it. As far as I know Reels don’t display similarly on a follower’s feed like that.

Reels are similar to TikTok videos and stories are something that allow you to share all the moments of your day, not only the ones that you want to keep on your profile. With Reels you can share a 15 minutes video.
