  • Instagram Reels’ reach dropped massively post suspension. Any advice?

As a long-standing artist, I’m struggling to grow my account despite producing consistent and solid work. It’s frustrating to see my Reels’ reach drop by 50-60%.

Any suggestions from those in the same boat?

Hey there social media strategist here, that’s completely normal, Instagram is dealing with a massive bot problem these past few months. They mess around with how sensitive their algorithm is to detect fake accounts, and every once in a while they get things wrong. If your accounts gets hit, then it takes about 7-10 days to go back to normal. I suggest you don’t upload as often until then, your content won’t reach as many people, is better to wait a few days… If you need any more help, feel free to shoot me a dm, I’d love to see what exactly triggered instagram to suspend your account!

Same boat. The bots were after me for two months with a total of 16 suspensions. Each time they apologized and got it right back up, but everything had been throttled back so much it hurts. I’m at 36k but lucky if I get 2k views

This is a widespread issue, especially for artists. The change in Instagram’s algorithm seems to have affected a lot of us. When I was serious about growing my account, I engaged AscendViral to take care of growth while I focused on content creation. Maybe you could consider jumping on trending themes, using viral sounds, or even filming your art creation process. You never know what might go viral.

I can relate to this. It’s a constant challenge.
