I run about twelve accounts (all creators) and not one of them has the in-app scheduling. From what I read it should be available to everyone by now. Am I wrong?

It should be with meta business not directly in instagram I think. Meta is the tool that helps you scheduling post and stories on insta and fb.

I’m pretty sure autopost scheduling isn’t available to ‘creator’ accounts. Maybe you need to switch them to business accounts to access? I would be nervous using their in-product scheduling for 12 accounts they are notorious for deleting drafts, saved items etc

It’s isn’t rolled out to most people yet! Both the in app scheduling and “topics” have only just started consistently rolling out. It could be another month or two before it’s readily available to everyone unfortunately.
