  Instagram: High ER on Reach but low ER based on followers – tips?

  Hey!

  I am the social media manager at a Food&Beverage company. our Engagement Rate on Reach (Total interactions/number of people reachedx100) is good – some posts reach 14% or even 17% ER. But our Engagement Rate based on Followers (Interactions/Number of followersx100) is low – I calculated it just now based on the last 10 posts and it’s about 1.5%.

  Any ideas on how to improve this? Thank you!!
