Instagram – Help in stopping fake likes
Hi,
So i run a public contest page on Instagram. People participate in the contest and winner is decided on basis of maximum likes.
The problem is when i catch one and disqualify them for using bots/autolikes. I notice other posts are also targeted, leading me to eventually disqualifying many of them and shutting down the contest.
This is really embarrassing and i am at a loss of how to tackle this.
Setting the account to Private is not an option since the since the page needs to be public for people to come and like their favorite entry .
Please, any help is greatly appreciated.

Is the purpose of your contest to get engagement or to hand out the prize….

Change the criteria of your contest. Instead of likes on comments, get people to share to their story/feed, or start choosing winners at random instead of by numbers. Have them choose a number from 1-1000 and select randomly.

Pick something harder to fake. Likes and followers are easy to pay for.
