Instagram app insights are not consistent with Meta Business Suite insights?
When set to the exact same time span (April 1-May 1) they show completely different numbers for impressions, reach, engagement etc. I triple checked to exclude FB numbers, I only need to know about Instagram for now. Does anyone know why that is? I am pulling out my hair trying to figure this out. I’m pushing for a better analytics tracker but it isn’t in the budget right now.

Meta business suite has been unreliable lately. We had multiple people pull data from the same time frame the same way and get different numbers. I personally would recommend the Instagram specific data rather than the business manager. When they merged business manager and creator studios, it seemed to cause some issues that they are still working out. And with all the layoffs they’ve had.. who knows when it will fully get fixed.
However, you could always contact meta direct and report the issue as well and maybe they can help. The more people that report the faster they will fix it probably! We did let our contact know. But we’ve given up using their reporting for now since it’s seemed so unreliable.
