  • Insane marketing results with LinkedIn events…

Posted by GrowthHackersInc on September 19, 2022 at 1:36 pm

Last week I ran an online event with with thousands of attendees through-out the Youtube live session.

    Our key traffic sources?

    LinkedIn events + Twitter.

But this thread will focus mainly on the LinkedIn event growth hack we used.

Nothing too complicated in terms of development & automation.

**But definitely LOW-COST & HIGHLY EFFECTIVE.**

LinkedIn events have been an excellent way to market lead hooks for the past year or so now.

What makes them great is the following:

    * The ability to invite a thousand people per week per inviter from selected industries & geolocations.
    * The ability to capture emails directly from the event itself with a LinkedIn Lead Form (which can be further manipulated through Zapier)
    * The ability for people to find the event through SEO on high volume keywords both on LinkedIn & on Google.
    * The ability to message all your attendees without any limits.
    * And much more!

    **Here’s how we did it:**

**Step 1:** Get your company whitelisted for LinkedIn events because it’s only company pages that are able to do LinkedIn Lead Forms for event based email captures. LinkedIn has a guide on how to get your company whitelisted and their support team is actually super friendly when it comes to guiding you in the right direction.

**Step 2:** Create the event under your company page. Make sure that you include a good cover photo, an external link to the event itself (though you can host in on LinkedIn Live), and a good description to go with it. Try to optimize the text for SEO purposes as LinkedIn events are indexable both by LinkedIn & Google search algorithms.

**Step 3:** Invite 1000 people from your connections to the event per week + onboard additional speakers with good connection counts to invite even more people on a weekly basis. The more speakers you have, the more people you can invite.

**Step 4:** Add the attendees that have opted in for further email communications into both broadcasts & sequences leading up to the event to make use of an additional touchpoint.

    **Step 5:** Run the event.

**PS\*** You can hook up tools like Zapier + LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms for additional automations – like auto-sending calendar invites to everyone that completes the Lead Form OR adding them to a certain sequence.

**PSS\*** I don’t think LinkedIn will keep the invitation limit at 1000 per week for long, so strike whilst the iron is hot.
