Industry benchmarks for Australian social media
I’m looking for industry benchmarks for social media, specifically for Australia (government, if it’s possible to dig down that much) and organic growth and engagement on a weekly, monthly and yearly basis.
I’ve had a look around and I can only find generic information around benchmarks so far – is what I’m looking for too specific? Or do I need a paid platform to access this data?
Essentially I’m trying to find out what is the Australian industry standard for organic growth and engagement.

With the right resources, you could determine this as those numbers are public. Either you spend on the right tools that can help you access the information (based on a list of accounts you want to track) or there are firms you can hire that will do the analysis for you. One way or another, if you seek to analyze a large number of accounts, you will need resources.
