  • Images hidden by javascript not getting crawled, Google Images

    Hey,

I have made a site using WordPress and I am using “Popup Anything” to pop up some infographics on click.

I would like these images to appear on Google Images if possible.

The crawler is not indexing them even though I requested the URL to be indexed through the search console.

Any suggestions or will I have to resort to putting them on a page directly?

    Many thanks!

When it comes to JS, Google only crawls and indexes when it feels it has free resources to do so. So while all the other parts like HTML, images, etc. can be indexed in a day, JS takes time. I read a fun fact that even a brand such as Nike doesn’t have all its JS indexed by Google. So no one can tell you for sure if and when Google will index the image inside.

Now since I haven’t taken a look at your website, I can’t tell you for sure, what other methods you can apply to index the images. But feel free to DM me and I can take a look.
