**TLDR:** I started my SEO journey in February after watching Adam Enfroy’s videos and even bought his course. While I learned a lot, especially about WordPress setup, I haven’t seen much success despite working 60-80 hours a week on two blogs. I found flaws in Adam’s initial course advice. My site traffic has decreased recently. I’ve been trying to understand Koray Gubur’s SEO teachings, which are impressive but hard to follow. I’m questioning my future in SEO, especially seeing even experts like Adam facing traffic drops. If I can’t understand Koray Gubur, should I just quit?

For a bit of a backstory, I started my SEO journey in February of this year after watching Adam Enfroy’s YouTube videos. I started an Etsy shop before this with minimal success and decided to buy Adam’s course to start an affiliate site.

I did learn many things from his course (and believe his information on setting up your website on WordPress with his suggested plugins is rock solid), but I basically have had no success from his teachings.

Yes, I know it takes time, patience, and hard work. I have been seriously working 60-80 hours a week on two separate blogs (the second one I just started). The first iteration of Adam’s course had absolutely no interlinking/topical authority strategy. His edict at the time was “70/30 transaction and informational posts” which I now know is terrible advice, especially for a new site.

He is big on backlinks and has various methods for obtaining them but the main idea is reaching out to high DR sites and asking for a guest post. From what I’ve seen, this is much more likely to happen in certain niches (like SAAS type niches). I do all the basics and the best current practices you can think of and was getting around 30-40 visitors a month for my first site. Now, since the update, my impressions are 1/3 of what they were before.

ANYWAY, here is the main point of this post. I have really dove deep into what Koray Gubur is trying to teach. I’ve been watching and reading his content every day and taking notes, even reading patents myself (along with Bill Slawski). Regardless of what you think about him, the results of his case studies are impressive. If you’ve spent any time watching his content, you know he is very difficult to follow and, even if you can, there is next to no practical application with his teachings.

It seems like he can predict success in SEO with his approach. If I can’t understand Koray Gubur, should I just quit?

SEO seems so unpredictable. Type in Adam Enfory’s site into the site explorer in Ahrefs ([adamenfroy.com](https://adamenfroy.com)), his traffic has been decimated yet I bought a course from this guy.
