So I just got contacted by a company that sells autographed memorabilia and I make TikTok’s about horror movies. I just sent them my stats and things like that and basically I grew to just under 60k followers in under 2 weeks with 5.5m total views. Every TikTok I have over 48 hours old has at least 10,000 views.

What ballpark range should I expect compensation wise? I just don’t want to get lowballed and not know it.

My TikTok is @BewareTheScare I’d post a link but I don’t know if that’s forbidden.

A side note (disclaimer – just a law student not a lawyer): also keep an eye on any terms in any agreement over IP ownership. Some contracts may try to give the company ownership of your produced content. Even if not, you want to keep in mind what bundle of IP rights they are granting themselves, if any, such as reproduction, and how long it will last even after the contract. For example, in consulting work I once saw an issue where a content creator had a falling out with a company and wanted their content all removed from the company website, YouTube, etc, but the contract allowed the company to keep re-using the content and imagery indefinitely.
