IG Verification
I’m a partner in a pretty well-known brand. Any time I apply for verification, our request is denied. We have global distribution, major retail partners, *very* good press mentions including full profiles in some of the biggest business magazines in the world. And yet…nothing.
Does anyone have practical tips for verification? For instance, what is the best way to showcase all our press mentions? A Linktree in bio?
And as for the actual verification application, I’ve always just applied from within the app and attached a copy of my partner’s ID (she’s the face of the brand). Is this a correct way of going about it?
Thanks for any tips. I’m feeling really frustrated about this, because it seems like we check all the boxes to get that damn check mark.
Edit: in case it’s relevant, I would like to pursue to verification for our main account, because we have a global network of national distributors who have their own IG accounts for country-specific news. Their accounts are clearly labeled (@brandname_country), but it’s nonetheless a little confusing if you search us.

i don’t know but i have a similar problem. very well recognized international non-profit.

Is the account at risk of impersonation? Being notable or newsworthy aren’t the only criteria Insta uses.
And are you spending any money?

In the same boat so take my advice with a grain of salt. But I think if you’re doing a brand, instead of uploading an ID, use articles of incorporation or a past utility bill.

Spend money on IG ads until you get a rep, then try to bring it up with them directly

I had a rep with adverts for a while. They can’t help ‘its different department’ excuse. One of them actually said I dont understand why your not verified
