I think teaching client SEO strategies is not best idea…bcs each participant of the process (SEO specialist, developer, designer etc. and a customer) should be focused on their particular tasks and priorities. Teaching customers some general things and aspects of SEO and digital marketing, and UX, and CRO … yes… it could be useful for everyone.
So. If I were u, Iād ask:
How search engine bots are working? The whole process from the beginning?
What are the prior ranking factors for the particular search engine? Why? And how to improve the website to be ranked in the best way?
What is conversion? What affects conversion and what is CRO (conversion rate optimisation)?
What is efficient site architecture? And what is interlinking and how it affects websites SEO efficiency?
What pages are most SEO effective? How to find and MONITOR them? And see the dynamics after improvements?
How to set analytics in the best way? What are the core events and conversions (in Google analytics) in your particular case? And how to monitor them?
How to monitor the efficiency of your investments into SEO?
Why we need link-building? How it works? How much it costs? AND how to make it useful for both: SEO AND BUSINESS? What budget you need for link-building and how is it counted?
Try to start from these. Good luck
