If I pay an individual to manage my social media accounts, do I need to provide them a 1099?
Hello. I am hiring a friend to manage my social media business accounts, but I want to make sure I’m doing everything right tax wise for myself and them. Do I need to provide them a 1099 or something similar?

If you want to take advantage of all possible tax benefits on the employer side then yes you should provide them with a 1099.
