The iOS 14 privacy protections aren’t in place yet.

I don’t think this is all ios14. I don’t think the protections are entirely in place yet based on some inside info. I think IDFAs are still in use on mobile. Now I could be wrong but there’s a lot of reasons your campaigns stop working. I don’t know the detail so I’m not going to assume anything but I’m assuming that it’s not ios14. ? I’m sorry this is happening. It’s sucks.

It is still being rolled out. Definitely try to get as much engagement as you can on your ads and page. This data wont go away as it is not pixel related. What is your attribution? If you are outside of 7D click 1D view you will probably be hit a bit harder. Definitely do data pulls for the last few years with all the different windows so that you have something to compare to YoY. Also, if your clients are ecomm make sure they have FB and IG shops set up. Both platforms are becoming more of a marketplace probably because they expected their tracking and data would be impacted eventually. Best of luck!

Shit rolls downhill, the director is getting pummeled by the VP/Owner(s).

As a business owner that does my own advertising, can tell you that in the states its been screwy AF since October. Some days CTR and ROAS is great, others..it’s like they are feeding snowblower ads to Greenskeepers in Florida. CTR 3% and ROAS 5+ to .08 and .5 Respectively,. Something is effed up is my opinion. Yesterday, ran a broad conversion campaign (typically low CTR and 2ish ROAS…but CTR was 4% but ROAS was .5, as if running a Traffic campaign.

OP is right. Since 12 January performance has been wonky. Having a pixel does more bad than good nowadays. It’s 100% FB’s fault

I don’t think this is iOS 14 (timing), but agree many accounts have gone in the dumps lately. Hang in there.
Anyone attend the FB iOS 14 webinars this week? Sounds like it’s gonna get real hectic. Challenging times ahead for their algo.
I think FB needs to do away with the pending ‘number of ads’ limits. If the algo isn’t as effective, we need to get back to the old school. Ad sets along very narrow targeting themes each loaded up w ad variations.

While you are checking the results based within the FB interface I would recommend to check sales within the clients CRM to see if its dropped or stayed the same too. As long as the sales figures are accounted for even without tracking or knowing what channel they came from the client should be happy. Just my two cents

This doesn’t appear to be an iOS issue – and as others have said definitely worth checking that you have the right audiences and enough audience scale to maintain CTR over time
