I created a segment that removes people that are: New User & 1 Session & 0sec duration. Does this make sense as a segment to remove all spam traffic?
My company’s website has a high bounce rate, and every spam filter segment I look at is for referral spam. My issue is that our referral bounce rate is far and away the channel with the lowest bounce rate.
Is this an effective method to remove the spam traffic? It A.) seems too simple and B.) doesn’t account for the chances of a real person actually bouncing.
