How to check source of the lead?

Posted by seohelper on August 9, 2021 at 12:18 pm

Is there any way to segregate the leads coming from Facebook and Google ads? I want to check the source of the leads. Conversion event for the campaigns on both the platforms are same and the ads take the user to the same landing page where they can book a free coding class.

    You need Google Analytics.

Use separate landing pages and add a hidden source field to your forms.

Finding out if a lead came from Google Ads/Facebook is a two step process.

**Getting information from Google/Facebook to your landing page**. Google and Facebook use URL parameters to pass information to your landing pages. You can decide what parameters you want when setting up tracking.

**Getting that information from your website to your inbox or CRM.** You extract the keys and values for the URL parameters, save them to a cookie/session/hidden form field and then include them with the form submission when the person uses the booking form.

That’s the very broad overview. Here is a more detailed explanation: [https://pete-bowen.com/how-do-i-know-which-of-my-leads-came-from-google-ads](https://pete-bowen.com/how-do-i-know-which-of-my-leads-came-from-google-ads))

This is technical but not difficult for an experienced web developer.

Yell if you have any specific questions.
