Hi, idk if I’m in the right place .. I am a video editor/content creator. My friend recently asked me to take some vids and pics for her business. Basically I have to shoot some vids of her business (food vendor) and take some pics. As far as vids i will be shooting and editing , meanwhile pics I take she will edit bc she is a graphic designer

She said she trust my creativity w video content and giving me full freedom to do how I like. I just show up (local ) and do my thing. But I’ve never really worked in this way before and idk how to charge?

Can u guys please give me a breakdown or a price/ rate or suggestions on how to price my work? I live in Los Angeles California if that matters. Thank u in advance

What have you been paid for per hour, not necessarily this role? That’s a rough estimate what you value and others value your time at. Add some more. How long will take you to do the job? Multiple your hourly rate by that. Next job charge more. Job after that charge more until people refuse to pay. That’s theoretically your upper limit.

Consider charging per hour or per project, and factor in expenses like equipment and travel costs.
