How to be a successful social media manager in creative (advertising)?
I currently work as a social media (and community) manager at a not-too-big creative ad agency. I come from client-side and this is my first agency job, so I’m still new to it and learning some things along the way. Definitely a faster-paced environment with much different standards and practices. Although it’s been quite a learning curve, I’m loving it.
My main question is to my fellow Social Media Managers who’ve been in the agency realm. What can I do to be a successful and valuable social media manager? A bit of a vague question but in terms of being the Swiss-army knife of the team (posting/scheduling/copywriting/leading), what are things you’ve done to really become a great team player?
Another more specific question: What do you do to become a thought leader in this role? and how often do you inform your team on trends?
