How much reach is too much?

Posted by YourWifeLovesThePPC on March 20, 2023 at 2:22 pm

Good morning and happy Monday PPC!

Over the weekend Iv been doing some reading about where to target with google ads and some people say as a US retailer selecting “All countries and territories” is a bad idea, will crush our conversion rate and will most like burn through your budget.

Based on your experience would it be better to leave all of our primary campaigns as USA and Canada only and then create supplementing campaigns for ROW?

What have you experienced and what works for you?

    TIA!

Unless you have unlimited budget. You should be just advertising in your home country to start. Targeting every country in the world will have you burn money.

Separate campaigns. Otherwise there’s a solid chance Google spends your entire budget in India regardless of whether it’s actually converting

I think you’d be better served to hire someone more experienced (at least temporarily) to help you get set up properly. I’m making some assumptions based on your question, but if you don’t know the answer to the question you posted, I think there will definitely be some fundamental flaws with the rest of your setup.

Not meant to be critical. You just don’t want to get off on the wrong foot with this. You’ll waste a lot of time and money otherwise.
