  How do keywords even works?

  Found a keyword compared it with UK And US
  For UK Location
  top bid on page low – .50 cent
  top bid on page high – 1 dollar

  For US location
  top bid on page low – 0.85
  top of bid on page high – 2 dollar

  Both of the keyword has same volume = 1k-10k per month

  so i did forecast and got 30 conversion per yea for 60 dollar for USA

  and for UK i got only 5 conversions

  how come? both have same keyword volume and UK keywords way cheaper

  Forecast tool is rubbish for anything other than volume.

  The keyword you see in forecast also include many search terms, it’s not strictly speaking the same from one geo to another.

  Competition and customers matter. Maybe more people want to buy in the USA and it is less competitive… but everyone is willing to pay more money for those who compete in the ad auction. Plus the USA is 5x as big as UK.

  You get a lot of low quality traffic from UK. Which drives overall conversion down. US traffic is on average higher quality.
