  How do I use Google Ads to track a specific click on my website as a conversion?

  I’m using Google Ads and Google Analytics, tag manager is utterly confusing to me but I’m trying to just have a conversion register in Google Ads when someone clicks on a specific link “buy now” etc. I don’t want the landing page to register, just the outbound click. Thanks in advance – noob here.
