Forums Forums White Hat SEO Social Media How can I handle client’s YouTube account (which necessarily gives me access to their Google account and Gmail) from my own device without getting access to their mails? Or, is there a way to lock one gmail account in Gmail so that they are not showed in ‘all inbox’ with my personal Gmail?

Any guidance, tips, or ideas to effectively handle client’s social media accounts including YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, Website on my device by making clear boundaries between my personal accounts and their personal information (since the client has brand accounts created with their personal mail).

Free tools please. I’m not looking to make a paid investment now.

YouTube has a permissions feature. If they log into their Creator Studio, then click on the settings icon on the bottom left if the screen a box will pop up. In that box if they go to “permissions” they can add you with limited or full permissions to their channel without you having or needing access to their account.

Make sure you have a channel set up on your side, it doesn’t need content, and send them the email associated with that channel.

Then, install the YouTube studio app. Log into your channel and you’ll see their channel pop up if you click on your profile and then click on your name. When you do that’s you’ll see a list of whatever accounts you have access to and cam jump between them. You’ll also have limited stats access within the app and can make changes depending on the permissions they give you.
