How can I get more adult followers/viewers on TikTok?
I make food videos on TikTok. I do have some adult followers but not a lot. I am 17 years old, but lots of teens have quite some adult followers/viewers, is it the content? My date of birth on TikTok is 2003, so I actually lied about my age, so that would make me 21 so if that matters, I’d at least need to have some 20+ y/o’s watching. Most that watch my videos are like 14 and don’t even enjoy my videos. I use relevant hashtags as well.

Keep creating and look at your competition to see what isn’t hitting the mark. Add personality and humour.
I know why I don’t tend to like kids’ vids, and it tends to break down to over talking things through as they feel everyone needs it **as explained** as they would. But almost no one is watching a cooking vid if they need the basics explained. They can find another resource if they do need to know basic cooking terms.
I don’t know if that is the case for you, but try to script and look through the script to cut the script down to essentials. Also if you are not using a script, that can be dangerous. Concise and precise that will see better results from older demographics.

The surest way that you can have older audiences to follow you and view your content on Tiktok is buy running ads.
You can pay for ads and set your ads to target those adults and you can also target adults in tier 1 countries who have money and therefore if you are selling something you will definitely get buyers from that.

Create engaging and unique content, use popular hashtags, collaborate with other creators, and post consistently.
