We are letting our clients do it since they need to provide docs we won’t have access to. No one has pushed back.

I’m absolutely loving the clients that become incredibly defensive about it, like they suspect you’re doing something nefarious. Always the older crowd too that are blissfully ignorant to the fact that business registrations are public record.

Wait, do you do that for them? I just tell them to do it themselves. Why would you do it?

We don’t do it for the client, we have them do it for themselves.

I tell clients they need to log in and do it since it requires business information. Nobody has pushed back.

To go back and forth with me is only going to take more time and ultimately cost them more or reduce the time in a month I spend doing my job which is optimizing their account

I set up a meeting to walk them through it and ask them to bring the required documents

I guess our clients are just really good at playing hide and seek with their documents!

Literally just give them a list of what docs you need. I always put “front AND BACK of driving license” in bold, because everyone always misses that they need to send in the back as well

Most of the time I am doing the verification for clients. 9/10 out of 10 the business name Google is looking for is the same as on their general liability insurance policy for Local Service Ads.
