Hashtags or no hashtags?
Hi dear people, I'm currently active on Instagram, X and Tiktok.
Are you using hashtags on these apps?
The advices are so different. Some say you shouldn't use any at all, others say you should, and others say you should only use 3-4.
How are you doing it and why? -

On IG I put 3-5 in the bottom of my caption and 20-25 in the first comment to be discoverable. Does it help? Who knows. I extremely doubt it hinders, so potential upside with no downside.

Just roll with it! Use them, don’t, or sprinkle a few 🙂

I tested this on Instagram, my reels without hashtags performed way more poorly than those with hashtags. I usually add like 8-10 hashtags and get consistent 10k-100k views, with lots of 100k-500k views. The reels without hashtags, with keywords in captions barely broke 1000 views. So for me (a fanpage) it doesn’t work.

The ones that annoy me have 20 or 30 different hash tags. They are really doing too much to be taken seriously and I skip right past. 3 or 4 should be fine.
