Short answer yes the engagement drop. The away to get some back is to use the new feature “Reels”

Yes. IG wants force everyone to pay to use IG.

I’ve notice about a 1/3 drop in engagement for sure, but that’s not uncommon for us through July and into mid August. We ramp up advertising on Facebook and Instagram then and I feel like our organic metrics collapse a bit when we institute paid tactics.

Last year i made 5k followers, this year from january to today i just made like 10 followers, fuck instagram

Being shadow band, or at least having things becoming so shitty that I might as well be shadow band, has caused me to stop posting on Instagram entirely. I’m all about Twitter and Facebook.

Will the algorithm even back out any time soon or should I invest in learning to do reels?
