  • Got unjustly suspended on Facebook?

    **tl;dr**:

    * Facebook suspended my account in late March without telling me the reasons.
    * I sent emails to them and no help.
    * Asked some third-party guys, and they demands 2000$ to open it back.

    **Full story:**

I was browsing Facebook on 22 March when I suddenly got logged out. When I logged back in, it said my account got suspended.

I submitted an appeal email immediately but did not get any clarification from Facebook support. I contacted my friend, who usually does this Facebook-recovery thing, and he said it will take time. Then I contacted my cousin, who works in Meta to help, but he said he cannot do anything since he’s in another part of Meta and not Facebook.

I desperately reached out to a few third parties, and they are demanding quite a huge sum, around 2.000USD to get my account open. This is quite a lot of money for me, and I am not even sure I can trust these people.

I have been using this Facebook account fb.com/soraheysa since 2009. Has been using my real name on it. Has verified my ID with it. I do NOT make any copyright infringements.

This account holds a lot of memories with my friends and family, especially my late grandparent. My grandmother on my mother’s side just passed away in late April and it caused me great grief as I cannot retrieve any photos I had of her on Facebook as it has been locked.

I know this is quite late to ask, but is there any actual way I can get my Facebook back? Thank you a lot.

I think anything that is not Facebook (including the person’s comment below) is not going to be worth your time, and you should never have to waste money on scammers.

Look at Facebook help pages and send emails asking for a status on your account.

It might take awhile for some from meta to get back to you but I know a few people who recently got theirs back after a year of it being locked out.

Please don’t use Facebook as an album. Store your photos on an SSD drive or on Dropbox.

What happened was your account was hacked but what they hacked was your ad account and used it to post a bunch of spammy ads. Then they nuke your account by posting images or posts so far against community standards they cause an instantaneous ban – but your ad account keeps running.

You literally need to write an actual letter to Facebook hq explaining the situation With what happened and when and your username and email address and identifying information. Within 2-3 weeks your account should be activated.

The moment that happens to into your ad account and find the alternate user that was added on there and delete the account and block it from your friends list.

The most effective solution to tackle this issue is to get in touch with the Facebook support team.
